The power and potential of digital technology to transform human life can be seen most clearly in the scale-up of digital public infrastructure (DPI) and the development of new general-purpose technologies like artificial intelligence (AI). In their own ways, both DPIs and AI are at an inflection point—DPIs with their massive adoption potential and AI with its promise to reshape the way we make things.
We are excited to announce that the 8th iteration of the Global Technology Summit (GTS), themed " Geopolitics of Technology," will be held from December 4 to December 6, 2023, in New Delhi, with a focus on DPIs and AI. At this year’s GTS, we will highlight the current momentum for DPIs and debate design choices and adoption strategies. We will also explore the use cases of AI, considering the emerging regulatory landscape and issues such as the need for robust AI compute power and the availability of data for the foundational models.
The Summit, to be held in a hybrid format, will convene policymakers, domain experts, industry representatives, and scholars to discuss and deliberate the significant technology policy issues.
Co-hosted with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
